I'm having problems today I'm sure it's one that many crafters have, Christmas block. I have a selection of Christmasy things to make for the Christmas markets, as well as this site, and I don't feel Christmasy. Trying to be creative when your not in the right frame of mind, is near impossible, but if I wait I may not get 'That' feeling until Christmas week. So how should I artificially create that inner Christmas muse.
I have tried hauling out a selection of my Christmas craft goodies, and painted various things red in anticipation of adding lots of exciting goodies, but it's still not there. Do I hunt for my best Christmas music collection, or start regardless and hope for a reasonable outcome?
My other issue is what things do other people like to adorn their house with, that they would treat themselves to as 'something special' We have a variety of special things including a mock pheasant (he has a lot of sentimental value and gets a very special place at Christmas). I know many people, like to visit Disney land and will by a souvenir Christmas decoration to remind them of their visit, or a special Christmas market in Europe. Well I'm neither Mickey Mouse, nor do I live in the Chech Republic, so what can I produce that's interesting and different enough to enter someone's home this winter.
What do you do to entice that feeling, when you make your Christmas cards?
What decoration have you splashed out for that you put in a special place in your home every year?
