I spent the weekend with my parents, and visited the NEC craft show with my mum. We had a great time, but I wonder if that was more because of the company.
I was a little disappointed in the show, although I think it reflected the times we are living in. There was nothing new and exciting at the exibit, I had hoped to have access to some of the new exciting papers by Graphic 45, and to see all the new ranges of paper, that I have missed out on since no longer get to pootle down the aisles of 'The Range'. But there was only one stockist of Tim Holtz and Graphic 45 papers, and there was only a handful, and only available as a hole book.
It was also apparent that since the turnover of paper designs seems to have slowed, so has the need to sell off older designs, so not only were there no new designs to ooh, and ahh at, there were very few cheap sets to be acquired.
However I had a good time, looking at what there was, and came home with money in my purse (a novelty), but it has left me slightly stuck for stash to make my Christmas goodies for the fair, as I was sure I would see some bits and pieces that would top up what I needed. I am also slightly stuck for toppers for my Christmas cards, and will have to refer back to old clip art to get the goodies I was looking for.
