I have had a great morning teaching scrapbooking, I had a new student turn up who was very interested in the idea of creating journals. This student being a gentleman, also wanted to know why everything was marketed at the ladies.
My initial reaction is that that is what people want, but is it?
I hope my new student has look at my blog and demo's and sees some of my pictures, because most of the work I produce for myself isn't 'girly' and I call myself a paper engineer. However it looks as though I have slipped into the trap of designing craft workshops for women, when I'm quite happy to teach anyone (adults only at these workshops). Designing courses for community that I m only just getting to know is an uphill struggle, but maybe If I teach more of the things that I enjoy, I would come across as more inspirational, and pass this passion on to men and women alike. Hopefully leading to more students attending my course.
When I get around to designing next terms activities, I'm going to include more, journaling workshops, with a mini teach showing a paper engineering technique for each one.
So underneath is a mini I made few days ago, it measures 3x6x1.5 inch or 7.5x15.2x3.6 cm it has 11 dedicated photo/picture spaces, 8 tag spaces, and 6 6x3 inch journaling pockets.
