Yes it's early Sunday morning and I'm bloging. My husband and daughter have gone to a RSPB big sleep over at a castle, and left me all alone.....
So I went up to my crafty Art room when they had gone, intent on starting a piece of art I want for my hallway. I did start it, but found I am going to have to by more bit's before I can continue. So then I got distracted by some cardboard.
I realise this is easily done, cardboard comes in pretty colours and designs, but no this was just plain brown corrugated card. What attracted me/ distracted me, was thinking about it's structure and what I could do with it. I've used it before as a base for distressing, and torn it ect, but this time I decided to treat it as I would a book, with pages glued ready to alter. I can't use the book, as my family would lynch me for doing such a dreadful thing to a book, so I decided to play with the card board.
2 of the 3 pages are double thickness because I have glues them together, in order to be able to cut bits away. Then I haven't used any papers, I have just played with paint, masks, and distress inks. Finished off with an occasional stamp. I hope you like the finished piece.
