Its been an odd few days, I had expected to be teaching my craft groups at the youth club last night, and therefore able to show you pictures of the fabulous things they made. However a phone call yesterday morning changed that and put that project on hold until February.
I did however receive lots of goodies from Sizzix, as I had bought some of the dies I have been lusting after for the past couple of years, at a fabulous price in the post Christmas sale.

Aren't they fab! these are just some of them. They did improve the overall feel of yesterday slightly, but I had to wait till today to start playing with them. It's funny but I measure the on the edge dies, and they are 5 1/2 inches wide, this seamed weird at first, but then I realised that if you make a book that wide, a 12 x 12 sheet of paper, will cover the card, and wrap around in order to neaten the edges. Nothing Tim Holtz produces is without thought to its long term use, I suppose that's why we all like his stuff, he's designed them with projects in mind.
2 of my dies, also came with a very tiny, but interesting bit of kit, that you are supposed to scan with your phone, and then record up to 1 minute of audio stuff, that then by way of this scan-able square, can be attached to memory projects.
I love this idea of combining tech with craft projects. Has anyone else tried this out yet, or come across anything similar?
